Job Description:

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL, with experience of TILE AND STONE INSTALLATION SYSTEMS to develop and manage our NEW ENGLAND market, with a concentration and home base location of BOSTON.

You will be a highly motivated sales and business developer, with a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities with commercial contractors, installers, architects, and ARDEX distributor partners, through job site visits, cold calls, professional presentations and a solution driven, “customer first” approach.

Experience of the tile and stone installation industry is essential.

 

This is a field sales position with approximately 30% travel including occasional overnight. 

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essential
  • Experience of Tile and Stone Installation Systems is essential (thin sets, sub floor preparation, cement & epoxy grouts, under tile waterproofing, commercial & residential).  Tile and stone installation experience is desirable
  • Technically proficient: familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business. Solution-driven, professional, proactive and responsive.  Confident and engaging presentation skills
  • Proficient in digital systems including CRM systems
  • Self-starter – able to adapt within a fast paced and changing market
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Able to operate non power and power tools. Good mechanical and hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Able to lift to 70 pounds (on occasion) with a carrying capability of 55 pounds

 Education: 

  • College degree preferred or, minimum high school diploma /GED and industry related experience
