Job Description:

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

As Customer Service Representative, you will join our team in servicing and processing orders for our partner Retail and Distribution centers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. The successful candidate will be an energetic individual who enjoys fast-paced environments, has exceptional customer service skills, proficient IT skills (SAP system is used), and enjoys collaborating to find solutions.

Located at our corporate offices, 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International Airport, we offer a range of flexible work initiatives including some work from home, compressed work schedules, and reduced full time.

Key responsibilities

  • Process high volume of customer product orders via company Freshdesk system, including releasing purchase orders, monitoring product inventory availability and delivery status, preparing freight quotes and order acknowledgements
  • Directly communicate with customers and sales teams regarding order updates, inventory availability, and delivery status
  • Research and resolve any shipping and price discrepancies

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience, preferable in a manufacturing and distribution environment
  • Experience with order processing, invoicing, and order adjustments
  • Must have competent computer skills: MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and business software (i.e., Order Entry Systems (ERP), CRM, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SAP and SAP processes or other integrated accounting systems preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication (telephone and email), listening, interpersonal skills
  • Solution driven - finds the "yes" and understands Voice of the Customer
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask customer orders and requests effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Responsiveness, detail oriented and quality focused

  • Associate degree preferred or high school diploma with relevant work experience
