Job Description:

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL for SOUTHERN ALBERTA, with a concentration and home-base location of CALGARY.

You will be an experienced business developer with exceptional customer follow up, lead generation skills, and the ability to close the sale.  Experience with commercial contractors, installers and architects is essential, together with experience or ability to work with distributor partners.  You will have a passion for the industry and enjoy delivering innovative solutions, through expert product advice, hands on product demonstrations, product guidance and exceptional customer service. 

Up to 30% territory travel, including overnight on occasions.


  • Drive, develop, promote and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territory
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers and other key business influencers
  • Retain current accounts and prospect new business development
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
  • Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
  • Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans
  • Achieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience
  • Minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required. Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable
  • Must be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrations
  • Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale

  • Proficient in digital systems: Microsoft Word, Email, Internet, PowerPoint and CRM systems
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds



  • Minimum four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, OR minimum high school diploma with relevant industry work experience
