Job Description:

ARDEX Americas, (www.ArdexAmericas.com), part of the ARDEX Group, is a global key player in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials, leading the industry with consistent product innovation for the most complex installations including concrete repair and resurfacing, substrate preparation, flooring installation, and tile and stone installation materials.


We are immediately hiring a Machine Operator at our Mansfield Texas Production Facility.


Summary:


This position is responsible for maintaining and safely operating machinery to help the plant produce the highest quality products for our customers. 
This is a full-time position and the working hours will be from Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.


General duties

  • Maintain equipment so that cross-contamination of raw materials and finished goods dies not occur. 
  • Manufacture and package product as required by the Production Schedule. This includes trial runs for R&D.
  • Submit product samples to the QC Lab.
  • Communicate maintenance issues to both maintenance and supervision, and ensure the issue is addressed. Utilize the work request system in E-Maintenance.
  • Participate in "Common Area" housekeeping per the assigned schedule.
  • Learn other operations throughout the plant.
  • All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

Skills/Attributes Required

  • Must be able to work safely, focusing on safety and housekeeping throughout the day
  • Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills
  • Must be able to lift to 100 pounds and repetitively lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending
  • Dependability, accountability, adaptability, detail-oriented, and responsiveness are essential
  • Must be able to occasionally adjust work schedule, including occasional weekends, and alternate shifts
  • Must possess an excellent work ethic, including good attendance
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
