Job Description:

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials. We are immediately hiring for an experienced FIELD SALES PROFESSIONAL - NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TEAM, with a passion for winning and developing business in the flooring and building materials industry.

Preferred home office base within South Bay area, and up to 25% territory travel, including some overnight. 

  • Drive, develop, promote and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territory
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers and other key business influencers
  • Retain current accounts and prospect new business development
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
  • Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
  • Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans
  • Achieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

(Territory: Northern California Team (Bay area focus) to include: Northern California - North of the county borders running along the straight line formed by Camp Roberts and Sandy Valley across the state and the following Nevada counties:  Washoe, Storey, Lyon, Douglas and Churchill to include Sparks, Reno, and Carson City).

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required.
  • Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable
  • Must be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrations
  • Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Self-starter. Able to use initiative, work and adapt to a fast paced and changing market
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale

  • Proficient in digital systems: Microsoft Word, Email, Internet, PowerPoint and CRM systems
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds



  • Minimum four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, OR minimum high school diploma with relevant industry work experience
