Job Description:

If you are a SALES PROFESSIONAL, with experience of the TILE AND STONE INSTALLATION or BUILDING MATERIALS industry, together with an entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional business development abilities and an enjoyment of solution-based selling, we would like to hear from you.

This is a field position to cover ONTARIO with a preferred home-office location of TORONTO. Up to 30% territory travel, including overnight on occasions. Experience of Tile and Stone Installation Products and Systems is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive, develop, promote and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territory
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers and other key business influencers
  • Retain current accounts and prospect new business development
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
  • Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
  • Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans
  • Achieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essential
  • Demonstrable experience of Tile and Stone Installation Systems is essential (thin sets, sub floor preparation, cement & epoxy grouts, under tile waterproofing, commercial & residential). Tile and stone installation experience is desirable
  • Must be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrations
  • Technically proficient. Able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
  • Self-starter. Able to use initiative, work and adapt to a fast paced and changing market
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale
  • Demonstrates ARDEX Growth Mindset competencies: Innovation, Open Mindedness, Collaboration, Agility, Initiating Action and Execution, Ownership
  • Proficient in digital systems: Microsoft Word, Email, Internet, PowerPoint and CRM systems
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Must be able to lift to 70 pounds (on occasion) with a carrying capability of 55 pounds

 

Education:

  • College degree preferred or minimum high school diploma /GED and industry related experience
